More about Gertrude
I work with transpersonal issues (e.g. mid-life/existential crisis), self esteem, addiction, depression, stress and anxiety, childhood trauma. Here the person coming for therapy is welcomed from the perspective of health and well-being, rather than illness and pathology which needs to be helped, "fixed" or corrected.
My particular areas of interest have been how we negotiate periods of transition and learning to relate to and include anxiety, as both a challenging part of the process and integral to a creative and dynamic life journey.
I have facilitated and managed the building of pastoral and mental health programmes in addiction clinical treatment, educational, corporate and diocesan settings, and I currently teach in an Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling training college.
