More about Helen

I speak both French and English as mother tongues.

My core training is in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and I have undertaken research in trauma for my professional doctorate. I have worked as a psychotherapist for many years, my initial clinical training having taken place in NHS community Mental Health Trusts, primary and secondary NHS Mental Health Services and a specialist psychotherapy service for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

I have also taken further specialist training in Understanding Trauma, in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as well as in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am also trained as a Play Therapist, and have worked in school settings with the organisation Place2Be.

I now work privately in Canterbury, Kent, and in Geneva, Switzerland, with people of all ages, having many years of experience in helping with difficulties such as stress, burn-out, anxiety and panic, depression, feelings of meaninglessness, PTSD, Obsessive Compulsive behaviours, loss and childhood sexual abuse amongst other things.

I currently also help clients to get in touch with and to work with their own body's energy systems, as I integrate Energy Psychology into my work when helpful.
